Kitao approached Landing International in 2018 for assistance in securing U.S. distribution. After assessing the brand’s products, Landing saw opportunities for Kitao to repackage in order to create an on-shelf presence that would appeal more to both retail buyers and beauty consumers. 

Landing developed a cost-effective solution to visibly revamp the products within the brand’s limited budget. 

Landing developed a refreshed packaging suite, including recyclable cardboard cartons, a signature brand pattern inspired by the tea leaf, and labels for the primary and secondary packaging. This repackaging initiative resulted in the brand successfully acquiring distribution at a number of American beauty retailers, including Ulta Beauty.
